Samsung Galaxy Live Wallpapers Running on the Nexus One
Samsung’s new Galaxy S (i9000) is a pretty beefy phone. Although it still clocks at 1GHz — the same as the Nexus One — Samsung is using an ARM Cortex A8 chip with a PowerVR GPU for extra graphics performance. Samsung has their own UI overlay (similar to HTC’s Sense UI) which takes advantage of the GPU (graphics processing unit), and Samsung has also included some very pretty looking Live Wallpapers as well. Live Wallpapers that just “look pretty” and don’t add any extra functionality usually don’t do it for me, after all, they’re just overhead, right? Beautiful Live Weather, for example, looks great, and provides you with relevant information at a glance. Samsung’s Live Wallpapers are enough to make me reconsider! (That’s saying a lot!) And, thanks to persiansown at XDA-Developers.com (Kmobs on Twitter) you can now run the Samsung Live Wallpapers on your rooted Nexus One!
