Mikkeller Beer Geek Breakfast | Chad’z Beer Reviews #537
I’m taking a break from viewer request month for the day because today is my birthday and I wanted to treat myself to something special. So after hearing great things about this Mikkeller guy for two years, I finally decided to indulge in his famous Beer Geek Breakfast – an oatmeal stout made with coffee. There are a few variations of this beer, but I wanted to start with the “flagship” version so to speak. And no, this doesn’t count as a Mikkeller beer that Peter (The Master of Hoppets) wanted me to review. We’ll review another one together in a few weeks. PS Watch my video tour of my online store here: www.youtube.com Season 15, Episode 3 BREWERY’S DESCRIPTION & INFORMATION: Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and to beer geeks, like Mikkeller, a hearty, complex stout is the tastiest way to begin the day. Ths unique mix of an oat and coffee stout creates an intense, full-bodied beer which is surprisingly balanced and full of new taste adventures with every sip. 7.5% ABV Brewed and bottled by Mikkeller at Nøgne Ø, Grimstad, Norway. Classic Game Room – CIDEKO AIR KEYBOARD CHATTING review
Cideko Air Keyboard Chatting review. Classic Game Room reviews the CIDEKO AIR KEYBOARD CHATTING which is a computer peripheral that acts as both a mouse and keyboard for your PC. After you charge the included battery and insert the USB dongle into your computer you tilt and move the Air Keyboard Chatting and control the pointer on screen like magic! It also has a keyboard (which feels like texting on a phone) and inputs for both microphone and headphones. The Air Keyboard Chatting comes with earbuds and an attached mic. This device works well for computers hooked up to projectors for presentation work or for those looking to downsize their keyboard and mouse setup. Air Keyboard Chatting works especially well for Skype. Video review features Cideko Air Keyboard Chatting.
Great Lakes Edmund Fitzgerald – Beer Review
Edmund Fitzgerald from Great Lakes Brewing Company is an award-winning porter from Cleveland. Will the boys support this brew from their home state of Ohio? Where do they think Great Lakes ranks amongst other Ohio breweries? Tune in and find out! Partial Transcript: “On Tap — Edmund Fitzgerald Hi. I’m James Knott and this is your Better Beer Authority. Today we are tasting Edmund Fitzgerald from the Great Lakes Brewing Company in Cleveland, Ohio. Edmund Fitz is a porter with 5.8% ABV and 37 IBUs. It has won numerous gold medals from the World Beer Championships and Great American Beer Festival. It was named after the largest ship to ever sink in the Great Lakes. The company says the beer has a “complex, roasty aroma with a bittersweet, chocolate-coffee taste.” They add chocolate malt and roasted barley to the Grainbill and northern brewer, Fuggle and Cascade hops. Serve it in a pint glass or mug at 55 degrees Fahrenheit. Q&A Edmund Fitzgerald gets a (???) on the BBA scale. Come to Ohio and try it for yourself. I personally think it’s delicious. I recommend it and regularly have it in my fridge. What’s your favorite porter? Have you tried and beers from Great Lakes? Answer in the comment section. Thanks for watching. I’m James Knott and this is your Better Beer Authority.”
