I spent 12 hours straight making this. Literally from 5 pm to nearly 5 am on creating, casting, loading, shooting, and editing (it didn’t help that because my graphics aren’t the best every second recoding was a slow-mo 10 seconds.) My artist statement is as follows — . . A culmination of my learning this year in English 11, my American Creative Project is a music video created using The Sims 2 to the song I Will Buy You a New Life by Everclear. Although the lyrics are pretty self-explanatory, here’s a synopsis: A man arrives at his girlfriends trailer home where she and their baby live with child support. She is frustrated at his lack of having a stable job. He tries to explain to her that the rich dont understand what it is to be poor, love can still thrive. He implies that the only direction they have to go it up, never look back. She has been having nightmares she doesnt remember, waking up crying. I imagine the dreams are of her in a perfect life and when she wakes up she realizes it isnt true. She is comforted by the one part of the American Dream that she does have her child. The man tells of how he is currently living with a roommate, but not really living. He doesnt feel alive when all his dreams are unfulfilled and he doesnt have her. He tells her of his dreams of buying her a garden, a new …

countryplans.com Click the link to see a picture of my plan. My wife and I are planning on building a vertical log cabin, often referred to as a stockade style log cabin. Here are some pictures to give you an idea. Here’s one…here’s another, and here you go. Anyway we’ll be moving to Alaska, probably near the Kenai Peninsula or Matanuska Valley. Of course we’re going to try and avoid permafrost, but who knows exactly what kind of land we’ll buy. Our vertical log cabin in Alaska will be constructed on concrete posts that’ll be poured into Sonotubes that are buried below the frost line (probably around 40 to 50 inches underground). And then the posts will come up about 18 inches into the air…at which point we’ll begin the cabin. So yes, the cabin will be raised about 18 inches off the ground. Anyway, I have no experience to build anything of this magnitude, but this doesn’t scare me. My wife and I look forward to the challenge. So needless to say, I have a lot of questions, lots more research to do, and plenty of planning that awaits us. I’m posting this video to present my plan for the concrete posts and the insulated floor that will sit atop these 10 concrete posts. First, here is my rough sketch for our small vertical log cabin.
