there are no mistakes in photography… Full Auto is bullshit, it’s like having someone else painting something for you…

yeah i have the same question Sony a550 or nikon d90 ???? cos i’m really confused :S
I almost bought the d90. it’s all good. except the D90 doesn’t do 16:9 still pics. where do you plan to view your photos? monitors? tvs? they are 16:9 into the forseeable future. only the sony qualifies. auto hdr is a bonus. if you’re a pro, maybe not, but if you were pro you would already know which was best for you.

First of all thanks for a once again wonderfull review.
I am relatively new to the DSLR-market and I am considering to buy this Sony Alpha A550. The greatest pluspoint for me is the fast continuous shooting as I am planning on using it mainly for airplane spotting purposes.
I do have a question about memory cards though.
As the Sony shoots at such a high rate, you would require a memory card with a high writing speed. Therefore, which memorycardtype (or model) would you recommend?

Its really is pointless to have tiny improvements over each other much like the A230 330 and 380. But that is just Sony!! One day they may learn.

@coolfreak1mannan no dude.i think only canon and nikon has the camera that you can take video.but a550 is a good camera for me.
