Honestly unless your going for a world record most stuff in the mid-range price pool you wont notice any diffrence what so ever. If you want to gain speed you should be getting an SSD currently that impacts the most in my opinion.
PCwizKid have you test this memory : 4GB-Kit G-Skill RipJaws PC3-12800U CL9 ? and why have my memory 4GB-Kit G-Skill RipJaws PC3-12800U CL9 on the desktop 533.3 mhz and 7-7-7-20 ? Norm.= 9-9-9-24 !

What is better for gaming? DDR2 or DDR3? DDR2 is faster so that’s why I ask.
@TearsOfWar1 DDR3 is a lot faster. DDR2 is just a lot cheaper. If you want the best performance, DDR3 if your motherboard supports it.
@kylepolansky I meant how DDR2 is way faster in CAS latency. Does CAS latency matter in games?
latency on this ram is disgusting.
