my mom who happens to be a proffesional photographer and only buys canon’s (something i probably will do in the future) bought me this camera today but i cant use it till christmas D:

@TouchMulaGANG yes!!! they do suck…..i brought my broken laptop in the first time and they told me it was the battery charger…I had the insurance so it was free, but i had to wait 2 weeks in the mail to get it…THe BATTERY CHARGER WASNT THE PROBLEM. so i took it back, they said it was the battery. I waited another 2 weeks in the mail to get a new battery and….IT WASNT THE BATTERY. i figured out myself online (a diff. computer lol) that it was my motherboard. Those Dumbasses!

Hey I just got this camera, and I really love it except for ONE thing…
On my old camera, I heavily used the video mode, so I got the sd780 for the HD video. My ONE issue is that when I use the video function I get a LOT of background noise. Is this just me? Did you find a way to get rid of it in editing or something?
Please help! =[
I have been researching this camera to buy and I read that common issue. Is the backround noise really that bad? I want to purchase it but not if the noise is so distracting. Please let me know if you would recommend this camera.

Imagine a million bees swarming the camera.
I tried to edit it out and everything, but it honestly just made the audio sound really robotic.
Despite that, it’s a good camera. I’m getting a new one and hoping it doesn’t have the noise issues.

the screen looks a little small campared to my Samsung sl720 but that thing has the worst mic in the world!! thats why i’m taking it back and getting this one?? Should I? The samsung has a 3.0 screen
@Dimitry1996 go for the sd940 if you want a bigger screen+ 4x zoom
is the camera good in low lighting ???
i only wish it had just a little bigger lcd
