@roberttakataka well to help you get the clearest defenition possible, CDMA simply means all phones that do NOT used sim cards, while GSM refers to all cell phones that do not use sim cards. as far as america goes CDMA carriers include verizon and sprint while GSM carriers include at&t and t-mobile (for the major carriers)

@tomyram 9700 has a slightly smaller keyboard/device, memory (9650 has 512, 9700 has 256), battery mAh is different, and the 9650 is CDMA while the 9700 is GSM. That’s all I know.
